What to expect at your
appointment.
1st Appointment, 1hr - 1hr 15mins.
First we will collect your details, medical history, fill in consent forms and discuss any concerns you may have.
Then we will carry out a full assessment of your feet and carry out any treatment that is necessary, including thinning and cutting nails, reducing calluses, removing corns etc. We will form a treatment plan if necessary and offer advice to help manage any conditions that may be present.
A simple and painless neuropathy test will be carried out to check for possible Peripheral Neuropathy, a condition that indicates the loss of sensation in the feet. This is particularly important for diabetic patients.
Ongoing appointments, 45mins - 1hr.
We will check if there has been any changes to your medical history and assess the progress of any previous treatment. We will check if you have any new concerns before assessing the feet again. All routine maintenance of the feet will be carried out as necessary.
If the patient has a condition that the foot health practitioner is unable to treat, we may offer to refer you to a GP or Podiatrist if consent is given.
All materials used by the practitioner during the appointment are included in the price. However, there are some specialised treatments that incur an extra cost, this will be made clear to the patient and the fee agreed before being applied.
